Pattern Recognition: Personal talk about possible futures

Our first Pattern Recognition gathering brought together thoughtful, future-minded folks to Drake’s Dealership in Oakland for drinks, sandwiches, and real conversation.

We called it Pattern Recognition because that’s what we’re all doing—trying to make sense of what’s changing, what’s emerging, and what matters. It was informal and low-key, but it sparked something: new connections, shared challenges, and a sense that inviting possibilities and imagination in work and personal life is both necessary and fun.

Some questions we kicked around:
- What kinds of futures are we actually working toward?
- How are we managing our attention and media diets?
- How do we make imagination more social?

This was just the beginning. We’re planning more: informal meetups, more structured explorations, and maybe even a few surprises.
